Taxpayers to contribute ‘a bit more’ to support NHS – Daily Mail

we will stick to our fiscal rules and will continue to reduce debt so it’s the Prime Minister said taxpayers will have to contribute a bit more in a fair and balanced way to support the NHS that we all use while delivering on after-school commitments
Last year, a House of Lords committee obtained figures showing that in 2016, 770 students with at least three A grades at A-level had been rejected by every medical school to which they had applied. If Britain boasted a surplus of doctors, that would be fair enough. A sensible training system should, after all, be governed by the laws of supply and demand. Scandalously, though, the exact opposite is true: we have an acute, and growing, shortage of doctors.
