Lightning strikes yards behind Florida police officer in parking lot – Daily Mail



A canine officer in Apopka, Florida was caught on video nearly struck by lightning on Tuesday evening when a storm blew over the police station. A 15-second video of the strike displays the moment this a lightning bolt hits just several feet behind the officers car, going off with a deafening roar. The officer was exiting his car when he heard the crack that terrified him and sent him running back into his vehicle. The strike was so strong it tookĀ out the power of the nearby police station and damaged multiple transformers. No one was harmed in the strike.
